Contributing Membership Service
- 6% of the employee’s gross monthly wages and salary
- Set by state law
- Condition of full-time employment
Noncontributing Service
- Service time for which a member receives retirement credit
- Member does not pay for the time (free military, Disability Income Plan)
- 6% is not withheld
